UNTITLED RPG

This project is a work-in-progress RPG that is currently untitled. I am currently the sole designer and developer of this project. This game currently features a number of different systems that work together to create a single cohesive experience for the player. The art used in this game is mostly asset packs from Synty Studios, as well as a few other things that can be found on other free resource websites.

  • Dialogue with responses and actions (with custom dialogue editor)

  • Abilities that require mana and have cooldowns

  • Ability building system for designers to quickly create abilities

  • Journal logs to keep track of fish caught and where to catch all fish to complete the log

Throughout the development process, I create small tools to improve my workflow, this also requires me to improve the overall data structure of the game to be able to create and edit new content quickly.

List of tools made

  • Custom editor to quickly create and edit items, abilities, journals, life skills, quests, shops, and general game settings.

  • Custom scene loader to quickly load scenes without having to find the scene asset.

All editor tools are made with Odin Inspector from the Unity Asset Store.

For version control, I use a locally-hosted Perforce server that I run on a separate Linux machine within my personal network. To manage the project, I use Jira to keep track of bugs and features. The game is developed in an agile development environment with SCRUM methodologies.
